do it all over again

Added the forward lower face-plate and several coats of primer last several days;

those armature ends are , (stop think of a nice word) tough!

still some sanding along the upper to do

here's the filler I'vebeen using, beginning to think it might be time to look for something else

anyway, another day or two of sanding and filing

TOS MEGO Bed drawings

Several people have asked (actually nobody has asked but anyway) where I got my drawings for this project.  I did extrapolate my own drawings based upon screen captures.  Measuring the angles and relative lengths I came up with these.  I probably did more but these are what I can still find.

Again these are just my best guesses having studied screen captures.

I've been sanding and then putting primer on, each time I see something else to fix

Part of me wants to put a coat of resin on top of this for strength and durability.

Other part of me thinks that'd be overkill...

more pics of the front piece

Found some more closeup pics of bed, these from Journey to Babel and Naked Time

Little more detail than seems at first glance

There are five details to add that I still have to figure out how to make;
The foot detail is pretty straight forward, and I imagine I'd make it out of scrap paper and tape with the paints to hold it all together
I know there are better pics or captures of this fitting, again the scale is so small I think paper and pins will work for this.  Anyone with a better pic I'd love to see it.
Lower front, again I imagine I'd build this with a small piece of dowel with tape bands, maybe a little tiny lathe work, bell fitting at the bottom or just a flat disc....Can also see here that there's a flat sheet covering the center section of the bed housing, probably to allow ease of access to the innards.  I have some card stock that will work well for that I think.
The side piece, dowels again, I note the top of this piece seems to be the same as the top fitting near the front.  I useful guide for whatever end up using for both pieces.
Here's the best overhead shot I've found so far.  Most of these images come from Mirror Mirror, need to look at some more episodes.

BIG QUESTION IS...What is on the right side panels of this thing?
appreciate any thoughts.....

Day Two

I put first coat of primer on them last night, as expected, all the missed seams that still need filling showed up On the other hand some things I was worried about don't seem so apparent now:

I'll give 'em a second coat tonight!
